resolve to change your mind and forgive yourself.
The apostle paul says not to compare ourselves with one another for it is not wise. I discovered a long time ago that my standard for success is not yours. God has uniquely designed us with a specific destiny. It is our jobs to seek His face to discover how our lives are to unfold and in what quality. Little is much when God is in it. So many times I know I've toiled for wealth only to find that it did not satisfy or make me happy. If the wealth you seek takes you away from your family, keeps you from your houses of worship, then you are making that an idol. God is still a jealous God and expects us to put him first and then the next order is the family.
I looked over 2009 and yes even the decade and realized that the wealth I have been given far exceeds what i could accumulate here on the earth. The lords prayer is practiced and prayed in our house every day because it is a principle that I want to live my life by. I can testify that God has been more than enough and continues to supply our needs.
I want to encourage you as believers to continue to trust God. He is faithful and true and will deliver in His Time. His grace and mercy carried me through and are yet carrying me through. I praise him in advance for new territory. Time will not permit me to share all of the wonderful things that have taken place in my home this summer and fall. I had to take a brief break from writing but God breathed his breath of inspiration back into me so now it is on. LOL. Be blessed and remember to love somebody.

Humility
The notion of humility as a virtue brings numerous images to mind. We tend to envision those rare individuals who humbly bear life’s struggles while downplaying their own strengths. Yet humility is also associated with people whose insecurities compel them to judge themselves unfavorably as a matter of course. The true definition of humility, however, does not correspond precisely with either of these images. Humility is not passivity. Rather, it is an utter lack of self-importance. The individuals who embody the concept of humility appreciate that each human being on the planet occupies a unique place on an infinite spectrum of development. Though they can take pride in their own accomplishments, they also understand that the people they interact with each day are as valuable and have as much to offer the world as they themselves do.
To be humble is to accept that while there will always be individuals more and less advanced than yourself, those on all parts of the spectrum of development can provide you with insights that further your personal evolution. Recognizing these insights is a matter of opening yourself to the fact that not only do others think and feel differently than you, but their life experiences have shaped them in a very different way than yours have shaped you. This means that while you may have a greater understanding in some areas, others will always be able to teach you something. When you cultivate a genuine yearning to know what skills and talents those you encounter have been blessed with, you cannot help but learn humility. You instinctively understand that emotions like envy breed resistance that prevents you from growing, and that being flexible in your interactions with others will help you connect with unexpected mentors.
When you practice humility, you want to become as accomplished and evolved as you can possibly be, yet you are willing to submit to the expertise of others to do so. You understand the scope of your aptitudes yet you choose to eradicate arrogance from your attitude, and you can distinguish the value you possess as an individual while still acting in the interests of your fellow human beings. Humility, simply put, is a form of balance in which you can celebrate your own worth while sincerely believing that every other person on the planet is just as worthy as you.

In everything give thanks
Apostle Paul was so wise. He did not say thank God for everything, he said in everything, thank him. As the mentor of most the the known world at that time, Paul experienced many physical trials that tested his faith. Yet, he managed to praise and thank God in those trials and win souls. I want my faith and loyalty to God to be that strong when it's my turn to go through. God recently put a challenge /opportunity in my life and he has not seen fit to remove it. What I'm learning is how to trust Him more and step up to more service. I learned a long time ago that if you stand up and declare to God here am I Lord send me. He will do it.
In this season of my life I can say that God prepared me for it years ago. I knew if I had stepped into it then I would not have been ready. I've been serving God most of my life... 30 years of almost 39 so I've seen him do some awesome things. If you feel you are overworked and under appreciated, my word for you is that the Lord sees your works and He will reward you openly--Don't be weary in well doing. In due season you will reap if you faint not.
If the enemy is buffeting you now, know that he does not have you and that is reason to rejoice. Remember that God does not put anything on us that we cannot bear. His joy is our strength. There is not a blessing that is not preceded by a battle. Be bleesed and have a wonderful day.

The tongue: A blessing and a curse
Hello, and good morning readers:
I know I have not posted in a while, but I wanted to share the streaming faith bible nuggets I've been receiving lately about gossip and the tongue. The various teachers, mentors, ministers and contributors have taken their texts from the famous scriptures in the book of James. The book of James is a very short book, but oh what a powerful message. The new revelation that I received from these snippets was that all of us should use our tongues to lift up and not tear down. God does indeed hate talebearers or in our current vernacular busy bodies or gossips. It is just as hurtful to spread a slanderous rumor as it is to spread a lie. Both gossip methods have the potential to ruin life or a family.
At the workplace privacy is the best policy. I am not implying that you be anti-social, but there are definitely haters there that are out to ruin you because they just don't have anything else to do. Unfortunately, in the church it can be worse.
Be wise in whom you tell your secrets to...chances are there is at least one person besides their mom they will tell it too and then you are labeled with the scarlet letter. Pray first about your troubles and if you still can't break through, then you can go to a spiritually strong friend that has gone through a similar situation and can coach you through it.
Let your tongue be a weapon only to tear down the kingdom of satan and not your fellow man. We are not judges. We are witnesses. For you comedians, the bible says let your yes be yes and your no be no. For you brown nosers, false flattery is lying,
remember the truth will set you free. If you've been negative and a gossip, repent, if you are still nursing a grudge against those that hurt you and yours, forgive, and learn the lesson. Speak life to your situation and blessings to others. Be blessed and have a nice day.

Love Yourself and Others Will Also
I read a meditation today about falling in love with yourself. I made me think. Do I love myself as much as I say I want someone else to love me? I realized that I needed to replenish some self love and take care of me just as much as I take care of my loved ones. I know this is not very spiritual, but it works for me. I had to take a break to replenish my strength and reestablish equilibrium. I read some great books, the bible, prayed, journaled, listened to some wonderful jazz music, and did a lot of resting.
In other words, I took a stay-cation from the noise and chaos of my life and got me together. I feel better now. Everything in my environment is exactly how I left it, but I am more equipped to face it and deal with the problems. Take time to take care of yourself so that you can continue to care for the people you love.
